ZeaFuels

The ZeaFuels process is built next to an agricultural digester. By biorefining the feedstock into products as protein rich feed, fuel and biogas our customers can:

• Produce ethanol at lowest cost prize in Europe
• Obtain a good return on their investment, even without subsidies
• Produce high-grade protein rich feed
• Extract the high valued protein zein from the feed stream
• Obtain ethanol from agricultural and industrial residual and waste streams

A ZeaFuels unit has a pay-back time -depending on the size and location- of 2 till 5 years. The ethanol is produced in a very sustainable way reaching reductions of greenhouse gasses  of 70% compared to gasoline.

A prototype of the ZeaFuels process is in operation at ACRRES (Application Centre for Renewable RESources). The integration of the projects at ACRRES is shown below. Click on the picture to open the large version.
